Tired of the polar vortex? Heat things up on National Shower with a Friend Day. Note — this day started innocently enough —when a Colorado company called New Wave Enviro encouraged people to take showers with a “friend,” meaning its all-new shower filter. Their reasoning? According to the company: “Your body absorbs more chlorine through the skin and lungs while showering than while drinking tap water.” And who are we to disagree? In any event, on February 5, you are free to celebrate however you (and a friend) would like.
